Osama Dead, Whats your view ?

The way i look at this is that he was not at all creating any threat anymore and killing him was always only going to prompt further terrorism and outrage. However letting him live would have looked cowardly and also after looking for him for this many years you would think that once they finally did find him they were not just going to let him walk of freely. He was a dead man walking.

Another point about this whole thing is that obviously with something on this scale and with a government as corrupt as the USA, there is obviously going to be conspiracies as to what really happened, some of these are things such as "why did he get sent out to sea so quickly after his death when only just the other day we had Gaddafi's son die and there was pictures of the body." Conspiracies will always exist and until proven correct (which with the amount of corruption in the government, is highly unlikely.) will remain as just theories.

Let us know what your ideas on this are :) !

  5. He's dead, I'm glad. Will there be world peace now? No.

  6. Conspiracies are definitely present in this case, Osama being the world most notorious and no.1 most wanted man on earth will not just die and 'let go' that easily.

World peace is unobtainable. Even if all the terrorist leaders are dead, there are always people with hatred that will be their successors.

  7. it was about time! the world is a better place now

  8. I just don't see how it matters if he is dead or not. I know the man had experience and influence, so getting rid of people like him help, but terrorism and extremism live on. They just have one more martyr.

  10. i don't believe he is dead, i think it's a political scam to the people, so he can be reelected.

  12. He needed to die, and as Xenototh said, the world is a better place now. But I'm not sure we should all be dancing in the streets.

Oh well, it was going to happen sooner or later.

  14. Osama's death was purely a symbolic one. He threatened the lives of every American so it's good to know he's dead. I don't think much will change because of his death though.

  16. I don't think it'll do too much, but I'm glad he's dead. I'll save my celebrations for when we totally pull out of the Middle East.

  17. People don't think he's dead. I honestly think it's a conspiracy but another part of me wants to believe it's the truth.

  18. Al Kaida is a decentralized organization, there are plenty of leaders and loosing Osama means to them only that they have to work harder. Of course if you believe that Osama really died :)

  21. I think it's a good thing, but I'm not sure I believe it just yet...they kinda announced everything quickly, "we killed him, got a dna test, burried him, yay" It was too much information at once...

  22. As long as there is a picture of his body that's enough proof for the whole world.

  23. Its a good thing but as with everything he'll be replaced by someone far worse

  24. I hope they really killed Osama.

  25. It will be interesting to see what the fallout will be. It would seem that Obama is in a good position though - The President Who Caught OBL!

Wait, that sounds like an STD.

  26. I share your view about him not being a threat anymore and killing him seemed more about saving face for the US than saving lives...

  27. He was living proof that you can get away with mass murder. Now he's not.
